A Proactive Approach
“If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.”
To build and live your best life, it is not enough to just know and understand what to do. There is still one missing piece to the puzzle. The personal and financial plans you have learned require action and execution to work. Hopefully, you are excited by the life-altering plans you have learned. You also have step-by-step systems to implement them. This should provide you with enthusiasm and motivation. Even with this excitement, knowledge and access to a system—it won't work unless you make it happen. In other words, I can teach you the system, but only you can make it work in your life! Success in anything starts with a desire and a goal, but it can't be realized unless there is action. You now know what to do, but you need the tools and mindset to do it! What we are really talking about here is self-discipline. I love Tony Robbins’ definition of discipline. He defines self-discipline as “habits sustained long enough to see positive results.” In the next couple sections, you are going to learn concepts and strategies that will enable you to develop self-discipline so you can fully realize the great opportunity that is yours for the taking.
We learned earlier that most people put very little planning into their lives. They basically go with the flow and take what life gives them. This is a reactive way of living. You have to take a different approach . . .
